Boat Towing (from issue 9.241)Tiny floats

I have been on a mission to demonstrate to lake flyers that the
huge (and expensive) pontoon inflatable floats are not needed. My
customers/friends can easily fit these small floats to their personal gliders
instead of using one "special lake flyer". The boats platform also does not need
to be a huge deck.
I can also more easily sell Falcons to students whereas many students used to
wait and buy their first glider certified as an H-3 wing. HG pilots can enjoy
owning more than one wing.
See our flight line on the beach featuring a new H-2 pilot (Chris Mahoney) with
his new WW Falcon2 225. The WW gliders now can be ordered in solid colors.

We make them here at Lake Shore Hang Gliding located at
www.e-zboat.com. We expect to make up some
more for sale in the coming weeks. We have been collecting $165 for the complete
set. If someone is interested in the very large Styrofoam floats they are
available elsewhere for about $1700!
It is difficult to put a price on "safety," but we see no advantage to using the
larger floats when safety is the only consideration. Some operators prefer the
larger floats for water ops and tandems and they do work well. Our system just
offers an alternative.
Notice, however, on my tandem glider we do use a somewhat larger Full Lotus
float. These floats come from www.searey.com
in Orlando. They are normally used as wing tip floats on seaplanes.
