Below you will find three locations where the land owners have asked us not to land. We respect that rights of property owners and do our very best to cooperate with them in all cases. Many land owners are more than happy to have us land at their place and invite us to come back any time. I personally have had this happen on numerous occasions.

Sometimes we land in areas where we can not get ready access to a public road and we are behind a locked gate that may require intervention on the part of the land owner to get us out and on our way home. That can become an annoyance. Combine this with other annoyances from powered ultralight aircraft and powered paragliders and some land owners are not happy to see just one more invasion of their property.

Here are three properties that we are aware of that you should not land on:

This huge ranch starts four kilometers west of interstate 75, west of Wildwood. We have landed five miles back behind a locked gate.

28°54'52.2"N, 82°10'09.4"W
28.914504, -82.169271
N 28° 54.870240, E -82° 10.156260

You would encounter it heading toward the Dunnellon airfield or Williston. It is just south of Marion Oaks. Stay closer to interstate 75. There are public roads to the east of it and west of interstate 75. You can approach Marion Oaks (lots of trees) from the southeast or east.

This ranch on the west side of highway 33 (18725 highway 33, Groveland, FL) is 2 km south southwest of the Grass Root airfield. The coordinates of the house are:

28°37'13.3"N, 81°53'21.3"W
28.620365, -81.889248
N 28° 37.221900, E -81° 53.354880

You would encountered this area when flying to the north northwest toward the waypoint Turn33 or returning from that waypoint. Or, when heading toward or away from the Baron turnpoint. The landing area is huge but there are plenty of other landing areas nearby and you can always land at Grass Roots airfield.

This massive landing area just to the west of the large north south groves is located four kilometers west of highway 33 and 5 kilometers northwest of Seminole Airfield. It's right at the eastern edge of the Green Swamp. It is behind a locked gate on Berry Groves Road which comes off highway 33. It is just north of Blue Berry Hill Farm (you can see the blue berry groves from the air just to the south).

Berry Groves Road turns into a two track ranch road going to the north west.

You would come over this area if you were chasing cu's over the Green Swamp west of Seminole and west of highway 33 heading for the intersection of 474 and 33 or Dean Still and 33 or going south or southwest at all.
