In a recent video, Yves Rossy identifies the elevated launch ramp as a possible method of staying safe during vertical launch and landings. He also discusses the red “death” zone below 200 meters, and the future technology needed to safely operate in this zone.
Until solutions are in place to solve the death zone problem, “only then will it be possible to make this system, these wonderful wings, accessible to everyone who is interested in flying them in the same way as sports such as hang gliding, skydiving or paragliding. It won’t be for my grandmother, but it will be for passionate enthusiasts.”
