Yesterday, there was a collision sailplane - paraglider between Venet and Vorarlberg. The paraglider has gone down on a snowfield with the rescue. He probably has no injuries, but had to be recovered with the helicopter. The sailplane flew back to Switzerland.
Pettneu - Towards 13 o'clock on Sunday a three-headed group of paragliders from Tyrol flew from the Venet towards Arlberg. A 40-year-old paraglider pilot took a route over the Hirschpleiskopf. He was greeted by a glider from Switzerland. Due to the thermals of his 74-year-old pilot had to draw large circles according to police inspection St. Anton. In the course of the flight maneuver the glider piloted the paraglider. It broke a part of the screen.
The Tyrolean pilot had to land on a rescue parachute in the area of the Leutkirchner hut at 2300 meters. Fortunately, he reached a snowfield and came to a standstill without any major injuries. The glider pilot gushed briefly, but could finally continue undamaged his flight towards Switzerland. The 74-year-old pilot dropped an emergency message after landing.
At around 2:00 pm, the Tyrolean paraglider pilot from the C5 emergency rescue helicopter was taken from the snowfield by rope.
