Let the leads generate themselves
The USHPA calls off the "experiment"
(USHPA headquarters)
http://ozreport.com/resources.php
So the lead generation effort has split into two efforts. Man, it was hard to get even this much of the story from the USHPA. This was my understanding of the original proposal:
My understanding, and who knows where this is lost in the mists of time, is that Jack and Dennis had a marketing proposal that would use various affiliated sites that would feed leads to the instructors, and that the sites doing this would be paid by the leads. I proposed at the time that they be paid on the basis of a filled out form (like the one on the USHPA web site).
So apparently that never happened.
The answer:
Correct. There was a six-month trial period of the hanggliding.org system, and now we're in the middle of a trial period using the in-house system.
As far as I can tell the in house system consists of a page where if you go to the USHPA web site you are directed to where you can take lessons or get a tandem. There is no "web marketing" component that feeds the site from other web sites (the key component of the original proposal).

Aerobatics Clinic
POM upside down
(POM, UT, USA)
Ryan Voight <ryan> writes:
Wings Over Wasatch is proud to announce their upcoming hang gliding aerobatics clinic, taught by none other than the master himself, Mitch McAleer. The three-day event will include instruction and coaching, video analysis, equipment evaluation, and more! Our goal is to educate each attendee on performing safe and progressive maneuvers at each participantıs ability level. The clinic is appropriate for those wanting to learn how to get into aerobatic free flight, individuals who want to maximize their competition scoring, and everyone in between.
The clinic will be held in the Salt Lake/Point of the Mountain area, June 20-23, and the cost is $250 per participant. To review a detailed clinic schedule, click here, or for more information, visit the news/events section of the Wings Over Wasatch website: www.wingsoverwasatch.com

Fun in Wisconsin
White Water Rapids
(Twin Oaks, Whitewater, Wisconsin, USA)

John Gamble <John.gamble> writes:
The newly re-organized WW Hang Glider club is up and running for the season. The operation is run using a club format with the prior owners (v1.1 and v1.2) having moved on. Many club members have worked hard over the Winter to re-organize in a manner that sets the stage for a wonderful club fully supported by the land owners. Please see http://www.whitewaterhangglidingclub.com for our website and many more details. Come join us in Wisconsin for some great flying. At this point in the season most of fields are black earth, drying out, and primed for some great soaring. We are using a tug and scooter towing to get us aloft.
We are looking for a few things to help us get up to speed ASAP.
1. We are looking for spare parts for our Bailey Moyes 2 seat Tug.
2. We are looking for a full time tug pilot. We will work with a tug pilot to make the transition to the Mid-west for the season as easy as possible. We have a few tug pilots and our chief instructor is working to train new tug pilots but this will take time. For now we would prefer to hire a full time tug pilot to augment getting up to speed though the training on new tug pilots. So if you are a tug pilot from down South or elsewhere and are waiting for you regular season to begin please give us a call to discuss, and we will put you to work. You will have a great deal of fun with the club members and enjoy what the surrounding communities have to offer.
Feel free to contact John Gamble at 608-852-4826 or John Krueger at 262-352-2573.
