2700 km in one day
Orlando tickles some ribs, and bothers others
(Mt. Binga, Mozambique, Africa)
A while back I received a great story from Orlando Stephenson and he asked me if I thought USHPA's Hang Gliding and Paragliding Magazine would publish it and whether he should send it in. I encouraged him to do so. You'll find it in the latest issue.
Orlando Stephenson <orlando> writes:
You were right. They loved my story and published it. Now I see there are folk out there that think it's real. I did do a lot of research to insure that the places, animals, parks, distances, etc. were accurate.

Over Lake Elsinore
At the last market plunge
(Lake Elsinore, CA, USA)
C. David Gibson <cdavidgibson> writes:
I seem to remember taking the photo in the sequence with a camera borrowed from LeRoy Grannis, at Lake Elsinore where I lived from 1979 until 1989. It would've been about twenty one years ago this week, October 1987, while I was still working part time in the Wills sail loft, right about the last time that the stock market crashed.

Comparing the Airborne Sting 3, Wills Wing Sport 2 and Wills Wing U2
A lightweight pilot flies all three in one day
http://www.hanggliding.org/viewtopic.php?t=8833
So what am I going to buy? I'm not sure yet. If I were to have only one glider, it would definitely be the Sting 3. But as I fly a combination of floater plus higher performance (for big coastal sites or for XC) I'm tending towards the U2 with a dacron (hydranet) LE and TE (lighter, better in rain, more durable) but now I will have to wait for the to improve. I'm also waiting on a U2 price and I have to save up a bit more anyway. The Sting 3 is certainly way cheaper.
